I’ve read ALL the books. Flemining was adamant about Connery’s casting as Bond until he actually saw him during the filming of “Dr. No”.
In the next book he wrote,(On Her Majesty’s Secret Service)he gave Bond a Scottish heritage!
Connery influenced the literary Bond!
Too bad that George Lazenby didn’t continue in the part. He would have been a ‘far better’ Bond than Roger (Simon Templer “The Saint”) Moore!

10The new Bond is not a good bond protrayer no british accent and no high tech tools were involved in the movie.
