When you hear the likes of Judy Street you realise how much the Casino were scraping the bottom of the barrel with their 60s and oldies policies. A once great scene which had pushed new cutting edge Soul was now reduced to a revolving preservation society trapped even then in time . What a shame . In fact what a disgrace
Remember watching this when it came out in Granada Land , and then talking with some people who had been to the Wheel and the Torch .They all said how the Northern Scene had terribly declined and what the founding fathers of the scene had laid as the foundations were being destroyed by this venue . To listen to the mix of white pop music and oldies which had been pushed to death you would have thought that the Northern Soul was a retro scene based around old soul or white pop

6Nice one. The guy with red hair and black shirt is Dusty from Runcorn. He gets bumped by a spinner.
This scene shaped my early life, it was a buzz!
