Poker Smash™ is an action-packed puzzle game with a poker twist. Poker Smash expands on the traditional match-three puzzle mechanic with elements of one of the world’s most popular card games: poker. Make vertical and horizontal matches by forming poker hands, and play in seven different game modes, including multiplayer. Fast and fluid controls paired with radical features such as super-slow motion and card-blasting bombs make this game a whole new puzzle experience!

I think this is a really cool, fast paced puzzle game and it’s really addictive once you really get into it. At first it will be frustrating, but as time goes on, you’ll be able to see 3 moves in advance and get that high chain going. I hope this video will give you some insight into making the most difficult hands in Poker Smash such as the straight flush and the nine flush. As you can see, its really hard because even when I was try to make it, it got messed up twice before I was successful in pulling it off.

Here are some helpful tips to get you going in the right direction:

1) Always keep as much of the board showing as possible; so you can see what cards will be available to you. (To do this, hold down the left trigger on the controller.)

2) When making flushes, I tend to move pieces all the way to the right (last vertical row) because I’m righty. Remember, when going for a flush that is higher than a five flush, keep the 5th one 1 spot to the left so you can move it into position when ready. i.e. You will have 4 hearts then a card of a different suit then maneuver 4 more hearts under that and finally move the key heart piece into position for the nine flush.

3) Slow-mo is your friend! I usually use slow-mo after I’m about to put the last piece for a nine flush in because all the pieces are almost filled and you have to get rid of all of them before it hits the top! In addition, slow-mo is great for setting up chains. Always save your slow-mo until you REALLY need it. (To activate slow-mo, hold the right trigger button on the controller.)

4) Do the challenges! They give you extra points when completed in addition to the regular points for the move.

5) Bombs are also a useful tool because they help you begin chains. I also set off a bomb to start a chain going because you’ll get a 2x automatically.
